Manila natural fiber ropes are for outdoor/garage/basement type use and are to be stored in a dry, well ventilated area due to natural fiber shedding & petroleum based mineral oil used in manufacturing. This oil is safe for use but has a slight odor when new which will dissipate with time & use. Somewhat heavier than poly ropes (see our other listings) and the preferred rope of many professional sports teams. Commercial quality and a great value for the money, but if you're going to be using or storing them indoors, we highly recommend our poly ropes. Sport Grips absorb sweat providing a more secure gripping surface while reducing hand shock and vibration and give your rope a professional appearance. Save money and get multiple ropes in one! When you purchase an 1.5" or 2" 50 ft rope you can shorten it with our Quick Anchor Strap Attachment Kit (see our other Amazon items). As the user progresses, it can then be made longer. A shorter rope is easier, therefore, by using the anchor strap, you can make a 50 ft rope short for one person and remove it for someone else in an instant.
